Weekend Fun

We had a great weekend - being outside!! On Friday we were able to go to the arboretum 'members only' plant sale(thanks Mom!). We got some fun new plants, mostly to put around the pond - a couple unique hostas, a fern, and an endless summer hydrangea. Dave planted them already, we just love to see the yard begin to take shape. Of course, there is always a lot of work to do prepping the yard for planting but it is definitely worth it to enjoy it all summer. The big pot has a giant elephant ear planted in it, seems to have made it through the fall/winter living in our crawl space!! Yeah!! I keep telling Dave maybe we should move to Hawaii to indulge in his love of tropical plants! =) Dave had a lot of junk(leaves, etc.) to clean out of the pond which he loves to do (though he doesn't like to admit it! =) ....

Couldn't wait to put Averie in her new car..figured she was too small for it and after this picture was taken she slipped out of the bottom! Whoops!! Good thing mom and dad were there to catch her! =)
