I know...Easter was four days ago...but that's a great thing about believing in Christ....we can celebrate Easter every day!! =) Our day started early so that we could find a seat at our Easter service, our church rented out the Tivoli Theatre in Downers Grove so that we could worship as a whole body instead of our usual three services. I believe there were over 1,000 of us in attendance - a small fraction of what we will experience in Heaven! =) Averie even took a nap which was a huge blessing because the service was an hour and 50min long! After church we picked up some vegetables for the 'roasted vegetables' we took to Aunt Rose's house for dinner. We got to Aunt Rose and Uncle Ronnie's about 4:15pm and enjoyed visiting with everyone before dinner. Their golden retriever Cody was all over Averie and even managed to get a few licks in on her hands despite our full body blocks.(which was hard for me since the dog was about as tall as I am! haha) Dave's cousin Carol's son Douglas was great entertainment for Aves too - she would mimick his silliness which was fun to see. We got home around 9:30pm, thankful for a full, enjoyable, blessed Easter day.
